                Author of “Modern Materia Medica, Pharmacology and Therapeutics.” Dr. Buckley has been a leader in placing dental therapeutics on a rational basis. His original work in the field of dental therapeutics has given the profession many valuable agents for the treatment of dental disease since 1904. He was professor of material medica, pharmacology and therapeutics at Chicago College of Dental Surgery from 1904 to 1927, and was for a time director of the chemical laboratories of that institution. Dr. Buckley graduated in pharmacy at Valparaiso University, and in Dentistry from the Chicago College of Dental Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentist. He was President of the Odontographic Society of Chicago in 1904; of the Illinois State Dental Society, 1916; and of the American Dental Association in 1932. He was Grand Master of Delta Sigma Delta Fraternity in 1928.

Dr. Buckley has prepared numerous formulae for the desensitization of dentin, which are discussed by in this issue. Dr. Buckley is a member of the editorial board of Nutrition and Dental Health.
